​On July 1, 2026, three historic downtown Halifax United Church congregations - Fort Massey, Saint Andrew's and St. Matthew's - each having carried the faith through generations become one. For the time being we're calling ourselves Halifax United.

This amalgamation was undertaken to consolidate our energy, gifts, resources, people, and material assets for more effective Christian ministry. Driven by both theological conviction and practical necessity, we seek to create a vibrant, faithful, and sustainable expression of the United Church that will be a blessing to our community, welcoming to strangers, deepening faith, and practicing faithful stewardship of all our gifts and resources.

Beginning August 2, we'll be worshipping on Sunday mornings at 10:30am at the former Saint Andrew's site at 6036 Coburg Road.
